1999 flirting with the idea of running for president.
Comedienne WHOOPI GOLDBERG, who bashed the 1980's for
being a greedy decade when so many people "made their millions"...people, for
instance, like Whoopi Goldberg.
Actress and talk show host ROSIE O'DONNELL, who crusades
against private ownership of guns while having her own armed guard.
Comedian PAULA POUNDSTONE. In March 2001 she and
Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) judged the Funniest Woman on Capitol Hill contest,
proceeds of which went to a shelter for battered women and abused children
in D.C. In June 2001 Ms. Poundstone was arrested for allegedly committing
lewd acts with a child and endangering four others.
Actress SUSAN SARANDON, who campaigned during the
April 2003 Gulf War that free speech should not be abridged and no form of
censorship should be tolerated, but prior to that campaigned to get Dr.
Laura Schlessinger's television show pulled off the air.
